Unreal Evening Optional Workshop
Unreal 5 workshop taking place in ATB2118. This first session is designed to act as an introduction and refresher to those who may have not used or feel 100% comfortable using Unreal 5.6.
Each session will focus on an area or part of a greater workflow with a template provided and an overall theme of creating an immersive world (world building) gradually covering more complex topics as the weeks progress. Written and video guides will appear at a later date on learning materials.
Projection Mapping Workshop
Learn about Projection Mapping and have a go at pro-mapping onto various surfaces and explore where it is used for immersive experiences, VJ shows and exhibitions.

3D Scanning Workshop

360 Production Workshop
Have a go at 360 film making using a variety of 360 cameras and learn how to edit content for VR and spatial playback with ambisonic audio.
AI within Creative Industries: Ethics and Responsible use Talk
A 1-Hour talk and discussion regarding how, where and when to use AI
tools within the creative industries and the ethics of these practices.
Digital Aquarium 25/26 Welcome Session & Social
Introductory session to introduce students and staff to the digital aquarium facilities and upcoming schedule for 25/26 academic year followed by a social event to get to know each other and find out how to get involved. A chance to also try out some work in progress works from VR applications through to interactive experiences.

Will be exhibiting at the Technicians Commitment Exhibition on 10th September, all day
Drone Workshop
Drone Workshop is weather dependent and will take place outside so dress accordingly. If weather is wet or windy event will be rescheduled.

3D Scanning / Capture Workshop
3D capture and scanning workshop looking at volumetric capture methods using Postshot to capture 3D Objects, spaces and maybe even people.
MetaHuman Workshop
Metahuman workshop will introduce you to metahumans and their use as real-time high-fidelity digital avatars for use within Unreal Engine 5. Live tracking will be made using a live link
Mo-Cap
Learn how to create motion capture animations using video footage and help contribute towards a student and staff library of animations for VFX, Animation, Games Computing, VP and beyond.
Suitable for all years and courses however spaces are limited due to size of the room in ATB2118.

Using Gen AI for Ethical Creative media
This will be the first Digital Aquarium Seminar of the year where we will be discussing how AI can be used ethically within creative practice and dispel some of its myths and fears.
