The Story of the Digital Aquarium
The Digital Aquarium is an experiential media research lab dedicated to exploring future content creation tools like AR, VR, and game engines. Originating in 2016 as optional masterclasses to preserve student access to evolving technologies, it was later rebranded and funded through external industry projects during the pandemic.
Now supported by a dedicated website, the Aquarium bridges academia with forward-thinking industry practices through hands-on, explorative learning. Ultimately, the founder’s vision is for this resource to move into a core part of the student learning journey, empowering creators and the wider community.
